You sign in with your Zettle account and approve the access (OAuth). You do not need an API key.
This server reads your sales, products, stock and balance, and can create products when you ask it to. Only the Zettle account owner can approve access. You can disconnect it any time in Zettle.
Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config. The server signs you in with OAuth: you sign in with your Zettle account. If the config has such a header, remove it: some clients then send that header instead of the login token, and every call fails with 401.
Turn on the Zettle connector, then ask in plain words. The AI picks the tools.
| Tool | Type | What it does |
|---|---|---|
zettle_get_account | read | Get account The Zettle user and organization this API key belongs to (uuid, organizationUuid). GET oauth.zettle.com/users/self. |
zettle_list_purchases | read | List purchases List POS purchases (sales and refunds) with amount, currency, timestamp, products, discounts, payments, refund info and the cashier. Needs READ:PURCHASE. Amounts are in the smallest currency unit. Default window is the last 3 years. Page with next_page_hash (pass it back as last_purchase_hash with the same other arguments). GET /purchases/v2. |
zettle_get_purchase | read | Get purchase One purchase (sale or refund) in full by its purchase UUID (the purchaseUUID1 field of zettle_list_purchases; the older short purchaseUUID is deprecated and not accepted): line items, VAT, payments, refund links. Needs READ:PURCHASE. GET /purchase/v2/{purchaseUuid}. |
zettle_list_products | read | List products List the products in the POS product library with variants (SKU, barcode, price, cost price, VAT), category, online status and ETag. Zettle returns the whole library at once; this tool slices it with limit/offset and filters by name. Needs READ:PRODUCT. Prices are in the smallest currency unit. GET /organizations/self/products/v2. |
zettle_get_product | read | Get product One product by UUID with all variants, prices, VAT, category, images and online-store data. Needs READ:PRODUCT. GET /organizations/self/products/{productUuid}. |
zettle_list_categories | read | List categories List the product categories (uuid, name). Needs READ:PRODUCT. GET /organizations/self/categories/v2. |
zettle_get_library | read | Get product library with discounts The product library together with its discounts (name, amount or percentage), paginated. Returns products, discounts and next_offset (pass it back as offset). Needs READ:PRODUCT. GET /organizations/self/library. |
zettle_create_product | write | Create product WRITE: add a new product to the Zettle product library (it appears in the POS and, if enabled, the online store). Not idempotent: calling twice creates two products. Needs READ:PRODUCT and WRITE:PRODUCT. vat_percentage must be one of the VAT rates enabled in the merchant's Zettle settings. Prices are in the smallest currency unit. POST /organizations/self/products. |
zettle_list_inventories | read | List inventories (stock locations) List the stock locations (inventories): inventoryUuid, name, type (STORE, SOLD, SUPPLIER, BIN) and which is the default. Use the STORE inventoryUuid with zettle_get_stock. Needs READ:PRODUCT. GET /v3/inventories. |
zettle_get_stock | read | Get stock balances Stock balances per product variant (balance, low-stock level and alert, last update). With inventory_uuid: that STORE inventory only; without: all stores. Only products with inventory tracking enabled appear. Needs READ:PRODUCT. Page with next_cursor. GET /v3/stock or /v3/stock/{inventoryUuid}. |
zettle_get_stock_for_products | read | Get stock for products Stock balances of a few specific products in one inventory (read-only lookup, nothing is changed). Needs READ:PRODUCT. Page with next_cursor (send the same product_uuids again). POST /v3/stock/{inventoryUuid}/products with the product UUIDs. |
zettle_get_account_balance | read | Get account balance The merchant's Zettle account balance (totalBalance in the smallest currency unit, currencyId). LIQUID = money available for payout; PRELIMINARY = payments not yet settled. Optional point in time. Needs READ:FINANCE. GET /v2/accounts/{LIQUID|PRELIMINARY}/balance. |
zettle_list_account_transactions | read | List account transactions Transactions (payments, fees, payouts, adjustments) in the LIQUID or PRELIMINARY account between start and end (end exclusive), with timestamp, amount (smallest currency unit, can be negative), type and originating transaction UUID. Needs READ:FINANCE. Page with next_offset. GET /v2/accounts/{account}/transactions. |
zettle_get_payout_info | read | Get payout info Payout information of the LIQUID account: totalBalance, currencyId, nextPayoutAmount, discountRemaining and payout periodicity. Needs READ:FINANCE. GET /v2/payout-info. |
zettle_usage_status | Usage status (free-tier meter) Report the caller's current usage: the plan, calls used this month, the limit of the plan (the free monthly cap or the Pro fair use limit), remaining, and whether the limit is reached. Read-only; does not count against the meter. | |
zettle_request_feature | Request a missing feature Tell usefulapi that the user needs something the Zettle tools cannot do yet (a missing tool, field or filter). Call it only when the user asks for something none of the tools can do, and tell the user that you send the request. Do not call it for errors or for normal requests. Do not include personal data, credentials or customer records. Stored with the product name and the client type (for example Claude or Cursor), without the user's account. At most 5 requests per day. Does not count against the meter. | |
zettle_upgrade | Upgrade to Pro (unlimited*) Get Pro: unlimited tool calls (fair use limit: 10,000 a month) on Zettle (the free tier caps monthly usage). Plans: "monthly" — $9/month; "yearly" — $90/year (2 months free). Cancel any time: Pro then runs to the end of the paid period, so it also suits a one-time job. *A fair use limit applies. For heavy use (near Pro's limit): "plus" or "plus_yearly" — Pro+, $39/month or $390/year, unlimited tool calls (fair use limit: 100,000 a month); an existing Pro subscription changes to Pro+ in place (needs confirm: true; the price difference for the rest of the period is charged at once). Otherwise returns a short link to open in your browser (it opens Stripe Checkout); after payment the account upgrades automatically. Does not count against the meter. | |
zettle_cancel_subscription | Cancel the Pro subscription Cancel the caller's Zettle Pro subscription at the end of the paid period (no refund for the current period; Pro continues until then, then the free tier applies). Requires confirm: true. Run zettle_upgrade later to undo the cancel before the period ends. Does not count against the meter. |
| Plan | Price | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 50 tool calls / month |
| Proper user | $9/mo · $90/yr | Unlimited* |
*Pro fair use limit: 10,000 tool calls a month on this server. For more, write to [email protected].
Pro covers this Zettle server only. Subscribe with zettle_upgrade (it returns a Stripe Checkout link). Cancel any time with zettle_cancel_subscription: Pro continues to the end of the paid period, with no refund for the current period, and running zettle_upgrade before then undoes the cancel. Or write to [email protected].
Review yesterday's sales and refunds. Find products that run low on stock. Check the balance and the next payout. Review the product library, categories and discounts. Add a new product to the library. See what you can do for the details.
No. usefulapi is an independent service. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Zettle. The server calls the Zettle API with your own Zettle access, so it sees only the data that your account can see.
Yes. In Claude, add this server's URL as a custom connector. In ChatGPT, add it as a custom MCP server in Plugins. Then log in once. Cursor, VS Code, Claude Code and Codex work too. See the setup steps.
A Zettle account. You sign in to Zettle and approve the access. You do not need an API key.
No. Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config. The server signs you in with OAuth: you sign in with your Zettle account. If the config has such a header, remove it: some clients then send that header instead of the login token, and every call fails with 401.
The login stores them encrypted in the authorization grant of your connection. The server uses them to call the Zettle API for you and to derive a private account id for usage metering. usefulapi does not show them on any page or in any reply. You can revoke the access in Zettle at any time.
Yes, if you approve it. 1 of the 14 Zettle tools can create or change data. The other 13 are marked read-only. Most MCP clients ask you to approve a tool call before it runs.
The Free plan gives 50 tool calls / month. Pro costs $9/mo or $90/yr, with unlimited tool calls (fair use limit: 10,000 tool calls a month), for this Zettle server only. Cancel any time: Pro then runs to the end of the paid period. Run zettle_usage_status to see how many calls you used.
Ask the AI to run zettle_upgrade: it returns a Stripe Checkout link. To cancel, run zettle_cancel_subscription. Pro continues to the end of the paid period.
Tell the AI what you wanted to do. It can send the request with zettle_request_feature. We store the text with the server name, the type of AI client and the tool you tried, not with your account, and read every request when we plan new tools. You can send up to 5 requests per day.
Any client that supports remote MCP servers (Streamable HTTP) with OAuth login: Claude (web and desktop), Claude Code, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf and others.
This is a Model Context Protocol endpoint — meant to be connected from an AI client, not opened in a browser. An invalid_token response at the URL is the auth gate working as designed; clients authenticate automatically.
