Read pretix events, tickets and orders; check attendees in or out with your own account. For event organizers who manage tickets and attendee check-ins with pretix. Hosted by usefulapi — connect from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any MCP client.
Team and Enterprise: an Owner adds the connector for the organization first.
Run this command, then run /mcp in Claude Code to log in:

You sign in with your pretix account and approve the access (OAuth). You do not need an API key.
Only accounts on the hosted pretix service are supported. Allow read, write and profile access; the profile identifies your account, and write access enables attendee check-in when you explicitly request it. This server does not create orders, take payments or publish events. Attendee information passes to the AI client you choose. You can revoke access in pretix user settings → Authorized applications. Changing your pretix login email changes this server's billing identity.
Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config. The server signs you in with OAuth: you sign in with your pretix account. If the config has such a header, remove it: some clients then send that header instead of the login token, and every call fails with 401.
Turn on the pretix connector, then ask in plain words. The AI picks the tools.
| Tool | Type | What it does |
|---|---|---|
pretix_list_organizers | read | List organizers List the organizer accounts this API token can access (slug, name, public URL). A team token sees its own organizer. GET /organizers/. |
pretix_get_organizer | read | Get organizer One organizer account: slug, name, public URL. GET /organizers/{organizer}/. |
pretix_list_events | read | List events List the events of an organizer (name, slug, dates, live/test mode, currency, location, whether it is an event series). Filter by search text, live state or date. GET /organizers/{organizer}/events/. |

pretix_list_quotas | read | List quotas List the quotas (capacity pools) of an event: size, the products they cover, closed state and, with with_availability, how many are still available. GET /organizers/{organizer}/events/{event}/quotas/. |
pretix_get_quota_availability | read | Get quota availability How much of a quota is left: available, available_number, total_size and what is using it (pending and paid orders, cart positions, blocking vouchers, waiting list). Values can lag slightly. GET /organizers/{organizer}/events/{event}/quotas/{id}/availability/. |
pretix_list_orders | read | List orders List orders of one event, or of all events of the organizer when no event is given: code, status, email, total, dates, positions, payments, invoice address. Contains customer personal data. Order secrets, order links and payment details are removed. GET /organizers/{organizer}/events/{event}/orders/ or /organizers/{organizer}/orders/. |
pretix_get_order | read | Get order One order by its code (e.g. ABC12): status, customer email and phone, total, positions (tickets), fees, payments, refunds as recorded, invoice address, check-in flags. Contains customer personal data. Secrets, order link and payment details are removed. GET /organizers/{organizer}/events/{event}/orders/{code}/. |
pretix_list_order_positions | read | List tickets (order positions) List the individual tickets (order positions) of one event, or of all events of the organizer when no event is given: attendee name and email, product, variation, price, order code, check-ins, answers. pretix_get_checkin_list_status | read | Get check-in status Live check-in numbers of a check-in list: how many tickets exist, how many are checked in, how many are inside now, broken down per product and variation. GET /organizers/{organizer}/events/{event}/checkinlists/{id}/status/. |
pretix_list_checkin_list_positions | read | List attendees of a check-in list The attendee list of a check-in list: tickets with attendee name, product, order code, check-in history and whether the ticket needs attention. Contains attendee personal data. Ticket secrets are removed; check in by position id. GET /organizers/{organizer}/events/{event}/checkinlists/{id}/positions/. |
pretix_list_waiting_list | read | List waiting list List the waiting list entries of an event: who waits for which product, since when, and whether a voucher was already sent. Contains personal data (name, email, phone). Read-only: no voucher is sent. GET /organizers/{organizer}/events/{event}/waitinglistentries/. |
pretix_checkin_position | write | Check in a ticket WRITE: check one ticket in (or out) on a check-in list. Records a real check-in in pretix and cannot be undone from here. Identify the ticket by position_id (from pretix_list_checkin_list_positions) or by ticket_secret (the scanned QR code content). pretix applies its own rules: the call is refused for unpaid, canceled, blocked, already-used or wrong-product tickets (the reason is returned), and it never forces a check-in. A required question that is unanswered comes back as incomplete with the question list; answer it with `answers`. One ticket per call. POST /organizers/{organizer}/events/{event}/checkinlists/{list}/positions/{id}/redeem/. |
pretix_usage_status | Usage status (free-tier meter) Report the caller's current usage: the plan, calls used this month, the limit of the plan (the free monthly cap or the Pro fair use limit), remaining, and whether the limit is reached. Read-only; does not count against the meter. | |
pretix_request_feature | Request a missing feature Tell usefulapi that the user needs something the pretix tools cannot do yet (a missing tool, field or filter). Call it only when the user asks for something none of the tools can do, and tell the user that you send the request. Do not call it for errors or for normal requests. Do not include personal data, credentials or customer records. Stored with the product name and the client type (for example Claude or Cursor), without the user's account. At most 5 requests per day. Does not count against the meter. | |
pretix_upgrade | Upgrade to Pro (unlimited*) Get Pro: unlimited tool calls (fair use limit: 10,000 a month) on pretix (the free tier caps monthly usage). Plans: "monthly" — $9/month; "yearly" — $90/year (2 months free). Cancel any time: Pro then runs to the end of the paid period, so it also suits a one-time job. *A fair use limit applies. For heavy use (near Pro's limit): "plus" or "plus_yearly" — Pro+, $39/month or $390/year, unlimited tool calls (fair use limit: 100,000 a month); an existing Pro subscription changes to Pro+ in place (needs confirm: true; the price difference for the rest of the period is charged at once). Otherwise returns a short link to open in your browser (it opens Stripe Checkout); after payment the account upgrades automatically. Does not count against the meter. | |
pretix_cancel_subscription | Cancel the Pro subscription Cancel the caller's pretix Pro subscription at the end of the paid period (no refund for the current period; Pro continues until then, then the free tier applies). Requires confirm: true. Run pretix_upgrade later to undo the cancel before the period ends. Does not count against the meter. |
| Plan | Price | Limit |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 50 tool calls / month |
| Proper pretix user | $9/mo · $90/yr | Unlimited* |
*Pro fair use limit: 10,000 tool calls a month on this server. For more, write to [email protected].
Pro covers this pretix server only. Subscribe with pretix_upgrade (it returns a Stripe Checkout link). Cancel any time with pretix_cancel_subscription: Pro continues to the end of the paid period, with no refund for the current period, and running pretix_upgrade before then undoes the cancel. Or write to [email protected].
Review upcoming events and ticket availability. Find an order and its attendee tickets. Check attendance and waiting lists. Check an attendee in or out. See what you can do for the details.
No. usefulapi is an independent service. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by pretix. The server calls the pretix API with your own pretix access, so it sees only the data that your account can see.
Yes. In Claude, add this server's URL as a custom connector. In ChatGPT, add it as a custom MCP server in Plugins. Then log in once. Cursor, VS Code, Claude Code and Codex work too. See the setup steps.
A pretix account. You sign in to pretix and approve the access. You do not need an API key.
No. Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config. The server signs you in with OAuth: you sign in with your pretix account. If the config has such a header, remove it: some clients then send that header instead of the login token, and every call fails with 401.
The login stores them encrypted in the authorization grant of your connection. The server uses them to call the pretix API for you and to derive a private account id for usage metering. usefulapi does not show them on any page or in any reply. You can revoke the access in pretix at any time.
Yes, if you approve it. 1 of the 18 pretix tools can create or change data. The other 17 are marked read-only. Most MCP clients ask you to approve a tool call before it runs.
The Free plan gives 50 tool calls / month. Pro costs $9/mo or $90/yr, with unlimited tool calls (fair use limit: 10,000 tool calls a month), for this pretix server only. Cancel any time: Pro then runs to the end of the paid period. Run pretix_usage_status to see how many calls you used.
Ask the AI to run pretix_upgrade: it returns a Stripe Checkout link. To cancel, run pretix_cancel_subscription. Pro continues to the end of the paid period.
Tell the AI what you wanted to do. It can send the request with pretix_request_feature. We store the text with the server name, the type of AI client and the tool you tried, not with your account, and read every request when we plan new tools. You can send up to 5 requests per day.
Any client that supports remote MCP servers (Streamable HTTP) with OAuth login: Claude (web and desktop), Claude Code, ChatGPT, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf and others.
This is a Model Context Protocol endpoint — meant to be connected from an AI client, not opened in a browser. An invalid_token response at the URL is the auth gate working as designed; clients authenticate automatically.
